This aspect of the product seriously brings down its star rating in my book.Amazon, you too, put on an offensive packaging show. This is my first immersion blender, but I am impressed with its capabilities so far. :( The KitchenAid box was packed in a huge box, many times larger than the purchased product, and stuffed with non-recyclable plastic. I do like the multi-speed options and it seems to be a sturdy little instrument.The packaging, however, is a crime against the earth. I would never have bought it, had I known that it came sandwiched between two huge nonbiodegradeable slabs of styrofoam.
The adjustable power levels are great too. Having it break down into two pieces allows the blender to be stored easily in a drawer. However, I would sure appreciate a "stay on" button on the next model.This blender is great for making those quick Whey Protein and fruit shakes. This hand blender works great. Easy cleanup and easy storage since the blade portion (and shaft) disconnect from the motor for cleaning.
It is also great for traveling as it easily fits into a suitcase. This hand blender makes baby food in a snap and is easy to clean. Highly recommend instead of a traditional blender for making baby food. Great hand blender for making baby food. We originally started with a traditional blender which was harder to get the food smooth and much harder to clean.
I put my old blender away and haven't used it since I bought this thing. It's so fast and easy and the cleanup is a breeze. I bought this hand blender to make soup and it did an awesome job--so much easer to blend the soup right in the the pot than putting small batches of soup through a regular blender one at a time. Lately I've been using it to make smoothies and I think I'm in love.
I cook a roast with onions, carrots and celery. This blender will blend vegetables for a soup, like butternut squash to a great consistency.
It saves so much hassle with transferring hot things to a blender. Just put this thing right into the pot.
This hand blender has the power of an out board motor. It enhances the flavor tremendously.
If you think you might use this little blender, buy it, you'll be glad you did. I don't know why I never bought one for myself before.
They are very limp after cooking so I blended them all together to add to the gravy.
